Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat is heading to Brussels on Thursday to present the first report over the implementation of the conditions of the second phase on Moldova-EU visa liberalization project, the Government informed in a press release.<\/p>\n

Based on this report, an EU evaluation mission will arrive in Moldova at the beginning of 2013 to assess the reforms implemented and set a date when visa requirements for Moldovans will be lifted.<\/p>\n

Vlad Filat is expected to meet with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton. Furthermore, the Moldovan Premier will have talks with EU Commissioner for Justice and Home Affairs Cecilia Malmstrom.<\/p>\n

The Moldovan authorities are optimistic that their country will have a visa-free travel regime with the European Union by the beginning of 2014 since many reforms have been made in a record time.
