One of them refers to education and another one to freedom of movement on both banks of Nistru River.<\/p>\n<p>As OSCE Ambassador to Moldova Jennifer Brush said, at the moment the two projects are a high priority for the organization she leads.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;For the education paper we are looking for a resolution for the Latin-script schools in Transnistria and we have some recommendations about how to resolve that issue,&rdquo; Ms. Brush said in an interview for Moldova-based Foreign Policy Association and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.<\/p>\n<p>The Latin-script schools in Transnistria are affected by the separatist regime because the so-called authorities put pressure on them to cease their teaching in Romanian language. As of 1994, they prohibited the use of the Latin alphabet in schools. The students and teaching staff has been repeatedly intimidated and discriminated.<\/p>\n<p>A recent decision of the European Court for Human Rights (ECHR) ruled that Russia interfered with the people&rsquo;s right to education in Moldova&rsquo;s separatist region of Transnistria.<\/p>\n<p>It is to note that Russia has a strong influence in the separatist region which has a significant Russian minority. The Russian Federation continues to keep its military forces &#8212; self-identified as peacekeepers &ndash; on the legal territory of Moldova, the country being the last in Europe to still have Russian troops.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the second paper the OSCE official is referring to, the initiative addresses the freedom of movement on both banks of Nistru River.<\/p>\n<p>The free movement of people is restricted due to an inner border with checkpoints installed by the separatists. People crossing the so-called border are subject to passport control and sometimes car and goods inspection.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are focusing on the opening of the Gura Bacului Bridge,&rdquo; Jennifer Brush said.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, there is basically no technical or financial reason not to open the bridge which connects the both sides.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;So, reopening is not a simply technical or financial issue,&rdquo; Ms. Brush continued.  &ldquo;There are some associated issues that we are looking at closely.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Transnistrian conflict settlement is made within the &ldquo;5+2&rdquo; format.
