The statement belongs to the political analyst from Tiraspol, Andrei Safonov and was made during a broadcast on PublikaTV. “Transnistria’s accession to the Customs Union shuts the door on the reintegration of the country through the integration in the European Union, so much wished by Chisinau. Tiraspol will not participate into the European integration process”, Andrei Safonov said.<\/p>\n

In the same context, other guests criticized the lack of a strategy for the reunification of the country. “As soon as Angela Merkel stated clearly that she would not allow the division of the Eastern Europe into areas of influence. The message was addressed to Moscow, by this Moldova has a reliable and strategic partner – Germany. These days, Germany comes with the proposal to create EU’s own army. These are extraordinary developments. And we welter in the mess of insignificant details”, said Nicolae Chirtoaca, the Director of the Independent Institute for Strategic Studies.<\/p>\n

Oazu Nantoi stated that the reunification will take place automatically when we’ll not be ashamed of what we have on the right bank of Nistru and Chisinau will become attractive for Tiraspol. “There is no conflict between Tiraspol and Chisinau, but a Moldova-Russia conflict, because those from Tiraspol are only lay figures. People from both banks of the river are not in conflict.
