Moldova is ready to step forward towards the second round of negotiation on visa liberalization process with the EU, but a certain delay has been registered.<\/p>\n

“We have a half year delay. First round of the dialogue on lifting visas was supposed to end during the winter of 2012. Because of the sterile talks that took place, we will be able to move forward now,” said Iurie Leanca, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, today in a press conference.<\/p>\n

He added that Moldova is ready to start the second round of talks since all 42 legislative chapters have been sent to the European Commission.<\/p>\n

The official declined to make any predictions on the day when Moldova will have a free travel regime with the EU. Mr. Leanca previously said he will resign if this goal will not be achieved by the end of 2012.
