The Communist Party of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM) wants to organize a referendum. They want to give a no-confidence vote to the Parliament.<\/p>\n

The decision was taken today at the Civic Congress organized in the northern city of Balti. The leader of PCRM Vladimir Voronin said the event is going to take place on October 21, 2012.<\/p>\n

“We have decided to organize a national referendum; to check with the citizens and see if they trust this Parliament,” the communist leader said.<\/p>\n

Vladimir Voronin was the President of Moldova from 2001 to 2009, holding two terms in a row.<\/p>\n

The political experts say PCRM’s position is not based on well-made grounds.<\/p>\n

“It is a non-sense idea of PCRM. The Communists try to come up with new things, which are actually aberrations,” said Anatol Taranu, quoted by Publika TV.<\/p>\n

To organize a referendum one needs signatures of at least 200,000 citizens.<\/p>\n

The Communists are boycotting the Parliamentary sessions since the beginning of the 2012 stating that the assembly is unlawful.
