Members of the diplomatic body accredited in Moldova, judges from the Constitutional Court, members of the Central Electoral Commission, as well as other officials from abroad such as the Romanian Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu will participate at the inauguration of the newly elected President of Moldova, Nicolae Timofti.<\/p>\n

The members of the Communist Party (PCRM) together with their leader Vladimir Voronin who was the former President will not participate at the inauguration.<\/p>\n

“PCRM will not participate at the inauguration of an illegal president. We have not recognized and will not recognize the ‘Presidential Election of March 16’,” said Vadim Misin, a Communist Deputy.<\/p>\n

Vladimir Voronin was Moldova’s President from 2001 until 2009. He chaired both mandates. Now he is the head of the Communist Party.<\/p>\n

Nicolae Timofti will swear in tomorrow, March 23 at 2:00 PM at the Presidential Palace. He was elected President on March 16, 2012 with 62 votes out of 101.
