The future integration of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was discussed today in Moscow. According to the current Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, the Euro-Asian Union will be functional as of 2015.<\/p>\n

Heads of states of former Soviet countries gathered in Russia’s capital to talk about the working mechanism of the new organization. Currently, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are holding membership within the organization. Armenia, Ukraine and Moldova are among the observers, informs Russia’s national TV station Pervii Kanal.<\/p>\n

“We have efficiently spent time discussing about important issues on how to prepare the future integration processes; we have made high level decisions which are aiming to work according to the scenario in order to be able to establish the Economic Euro-Asian Union by 2015,” Mr. Medvedev said.<\/p>\n

According to him, the main effect of the Agreement is the simplification of the movement of labor and services, which directly affects the people’s quality of life.
