The European Union will be able to assess Moldova’s fulfillment of all the requirements needed to move to the second round within the negotiations on the Moldova-EU Action Plan on the liberalization of the visa regime in June 2012, informs Moldpres news agency.<\/p>\n

The joint statement belongs to Natalia Gherman, who is Foreign and European Integration Vice-Minister of Moldova and Stefano Manservisi, the Director General for Home Affairs at the European Commission, who has visited Moldova recently.<\/p>\n

According to the source, the two officials participated in the opening of an international roundtable "Contribution of the Eastern Partners to the Stockholm Programme". The participants at the conference were officials of national and international bodies within the European countries and the Eastern Partnership states, international organizations, diplomatic missions of the EU member states in Moldova, as well as international experts and civilians, adds the source.<\/p>\n

They talked about the needs of implementing reforms in the Eastern Partnership states, in particular the identification of new cooperation priorities with the EU in the justice and home affairs fields.<\/p>\n
