The co-operation between the Republic of Moldova and the left bank of Nistru River within the Euro-Asian Union would contribute to the conflict management in Transnistria, said the head from Tiraspol, Evgheny Shevchuk.<\/p>\n

The statement was made in an exclusive interview for Itar-Tass<\/a> news agency prior the second official meeting on the Transnistrian conflict which is due to be organized tomorrow in Dublin.<\/p>\n

“According to the recent surveys, most of the citizens of Moldova are disappointed by the European integration, preferring a co-operation with Russia and the Euro-Asian Union,” said Mr. Shevchuk. He continued, “Who knows, maybe in the future we will be able to talk about any economic association between Moldova and Transnistria based on the new ways of participation, such as projects for Customs Union integration and other methods of association with our Eastern partners.”<\/p>\n

The head from Tiraspol added that he “is willing to co-operate with political entities and regional leaders from Moldova, who support the integration in the Euro-Asian Union, but only if it isn’t an electoral catchword.”<\/p>\n

Russia ruble might become the second national currency in Transnistria, according to Shevchuk. “The entry of the second currency is the right of any sovereign state,” said the head of Transnistria.<\/p>\n

The Euro-Asian Union is to be designed by Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus by 2015. The idea of such a project belongs to the Russian Premier, Vladimir Putin, agreement already signed in Moscow.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
