In the social networks, not only in the capital, there grows the subscription campaign to participate at the protest. According to the estimations of “Vedomosti” (“Statements”), at the end of day in different groups of social networks “Vkontakte” and “Facebook”, as potential participants are registered about 60000 people, of these about 20000 from Moscow and the number of signers continues to grow.<\/p>\n

About the support of the Saturday action announced the Federation of Russian Auto-owners. “On December 10 we intend to organize a rally in the centre of Moscow, finishing in the Revolution Square, where there is scheduled the protest action against the violations during the elections. We intend to support this action with our participation”, said the leader FRA, Sergei Kanayev.<\/p>\n

The official representative of (GU MVD) of Moscow explained for “Vedomosty” that the law enforcement, within the limits of existing legislation concerning the number of participants, “is ready to change the situation”. “Those, who will violate the law, will be arrested and brought to statutory liability. If the participants behave peacefully, don’t impede the traffic, don’t create road congestion, there will be no problems. Otherwise, we are entitled to apply the established by the law methods and measures to ensure order to protect the interests of the residents and capital‘s guests”, said the spokesman.<\/p>\n

In the evening of Tuesday, a member of the political soviet “Solidarnost” (“Solidarity”), Nadezhda Mityushkina stated that the authorities of Moskow agreed the meeting, which they officially notified to the organizers. There were not yet some specific requirements, but they should have been formulated until today, December 8.<\/p>\n

Three hundred participants were stated also at the meeting of marginal opposition on December 5, at “Chistye Prudy” (“Clear Ponds”), but finally there came about 6000 people. As soon as the protesters tried to leave in a march the reserved space, more than 300 of them were arrested.<\/p>\n

However, just one action can prevent the massive opposition protest – the works of excavation of “Mosvodkanal” (Water Conduit of Moscow) in the Revolution Square, which began yesterday. On Wednesday afternoon, The New Time website reported that “Mosvodkanal” began the repair works in the area of Revolution Square. According to the publications, the order of beginning the repair works was signed by the deputy mayor Piotr Biryukov.<\/p>\n

The press-secretary of the deputy mayor Igor Pergamenshik named this information “invention of journalists” and said that Biryukov didn’t dispose to conduct the work on this place and didn’t sign any documents. Though, the head of press-service Alexey Dashenko confirmed to agency that Service of “Mosvodkanal” really carries out repair works on the Revolution Square because of the damaged network.
