Hannelore said that after violation she was "dumped like sack of potatoes out of first floor window".<\/p>\n

The terrible biographical detail was revealed in recently published book «In the Woman at his side – the life and suffering of Hannelore Kohl ", written by journalist Heribert Schwan. Mrs. Kohl says in the book that she has never managed to overcome that terrible experience and that for the rest of her life she was haunted by the "smell of male sweat, garlic, alcohol and even the sound of spoken Russian»<\/p>\n

Hannelore Kohl had a very unhappy life. She has never wanted to be in the spotlight so much that after her husband became German chancellor in 1982 she banned her two sons from discussing politics. In 1998, when her husband decided to run for chancellor chair again, Hannelore only learned of that by watching the TV news. Several women friends urged Hannelore to divorce him after rumors that Helmut Kohl was having an affair with his office manager.<\/p>\n

In 2001 Hannelore Kohl committed suicide with sleeping pills overdose after contracting a painful allergy to light caused by the wrong administration of antibiotics, which also caused her to lose hair. She could not even watch television without having pain, and three years of life she lived in darkness. The woman’s allergic condition was so bad that she stayed indoors all day venturing out only at night. Her son, Walter, aged 49, also published a book a few months later, in which he describes his father as a "cold hearted". Later on Walter Kohl cuts off all contact with his father for eight years.<\/p>\n
