The terrorist organization warned it would continue to fight a jihad or holy war against the US and Israel under Ayman al-Zawahiri direction. Egyptian-born Zawahiri was for years Bin Laden’s deputy and had been widely anticipated to replace him at the helm.
\nIt is assumed that Zawahiri had conceived and planned the attack on September 11, 2001. Shortly he is called as an "Operational brains" behind the 9\/11 attacks. Zawahiri warned a week ago that Bin Laden would continue to "terrify" the US from beyond the grave.

\nSheikh Dr Ayman al-Zawahiri born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1951, trained as an eye surgeon, helped found the Egyptian Islamic Jihad militant group, known as Osama Bin Laden’s right-hand man and the chief ideologue of al-Qaeda. His head costs $25m (£15m).
\nEgyptian Ayman Zawahiri has been included in the list of 22 "most wanted terrorists", promulgated by the U.S. government in 2001. In this list he was listed as number two after Osama bin Laden. Zawahiri is allegedly hiding in the mountains on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where he can receive a help from sympathizing him local tribes.
\nZawahiri is often performed in the audios and a videos distributed by "Al Qaeda" for radicalization and recruitment of Muslims around the world. Since 2003, he appeared in 40 of these speeches, the last before the death of bin Laden came in April of this year.
\nIn the 1990s Ayman Zawahiri was a founding member of a militant group "Islamic Jihad". He was sentenced for that in Egypt to the death. So now this is not the country he’d better visit.
\nIt was also reported that in December 1996, shortly after the first war in Chechnya, Ayman Zawahiri, was detained by Russian authorities without a visa.
