The increase in the retirement age will lead to the fact that most Moldovans will not receive pensions, since the citizens’ life expectancy is lower than the retirement age approved by the parliament today, the leader of the opposition Party of Communists (PCRM), Vladimir Voronin, said at the parliament’s plenary meeting today.<\/p>\n

"According to this anti-constitutional draft, people will have to work till the death, which is not in line with the Christian norms, first of all," the Communist leader stressed.<\/p>\n

Voronin also noted that the draft will oblige young people to get employed earlier as they will have to pay dues to the state not 30 years as presently but 35 years. The Communist leader does not rule out that the PCRM will ask the Constitutional Court to rule on the constitutionality of the amendments made to this law, as well as on the entire 2011 budget.<\/p>\n

"The amendments operated today will bring nothing but moral damages.
