Should a tripartite Right-Centrist coalition be formed in Moldova, governmental posts between the Liberal Democratic Party, Democratic Party and Liberal Party cannot be divided just arithmetically equally, presumes the LDPM Chairman, Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat.<\/p>\n

He stated on the ProTV Channel on Monday night that when it will come to dividing essential posts in the would-be Government, the parties concerned should proceed from what each of them received at the November 28 parliamentary elections "because each vote given by citizens for this or that party presupposes the parties’ responsibility to the citizens and the need for meeting the parties’ commitments".<\/p>\n

Filat stressed that the Liberal Democrats are not demanding more than what they have won and what must belong to them according to the law and justice, and that the posts the LDP offered to the rest two parties last week are not yet a final bid, and they are subject to negotiation yet.<\/p>\n

"I don’t want to start my work in the Government with my hands and feet tied up. If I remain Prime Minister, I must have the freedom of maneuver to carry out reforms", Filat said, and made reference to the commitments Moldova has assumed before its European partners.<\/p>\n

Filat further said that, actually, he is ready to resign as prime minister in exchange for the presidential post.<\/p>\n

"Moreover, in such case I will not need guarantees that I will be first elected as speaker of parliament and only after that – as president. A politician unable of taking risks is no politician", presumes Vladimir Filat.<\/p>\n

In his opinion, it would be most desirable if Alliance members sign kind of a code of behavior, or at least a list of actions, which they would not make – under whatever conditions or circumstances – so as to not spoil common work.<\/p>\n

Filat told the TV audience that the Liberal Party and Democratic Party leaders held a secret meeting last Saturday and, according to the information available with him, they agreed that the public television [Moldova-1 channel] will go to the Liberals, and prosecution organs – to the Democrats.<\/p>\n

Vladimir Filat regarded the press briefing, which was convened by Democratic Party Chairman Marian Lupu on Monday evening, as "an attempt to shoulder all his failures on the shoulders of those who are more successful".<\/p>\n

With all this, Filat perceives quite optimistically the possibility of revival of the governing Alliance for European Integration, in the hope that in the nearest days the Democratic Party will decide whom to unite with.<\/p>\n
