\nThe leaders of the Democratic Party (PD), Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and Liberal Party (PL) held negotiations, during which they discussed the "distribution of responsibilities." The PD representatives avoided saying whether they will hold talks with the Party of Communists (PCRM) too. Yet, they noted that the consultations with the PLDM and the PL will be resumed on 16 December.<\/p>\n

After the meeting, PLDM leader Vlad Filat said that the sides work to create a ruling coalition in the format PLDM, PD and PL. "We continued the consultations which, we hope, will lead to the formation of the Alliance for European Integration (AIE). We also discussed the need to sign an agreement between the parties for the next government."<\/p>\n

Filat added that he sees no need to speed up the negotiating process.<\/p>\n

The PD honorary chairman, Dumitru Diacov, merely said that there was a good discussion on many problems regarding the proposals made by the partners.<\/p>\n

PL leader Mihai Ghimpu reiterated that his party will do its utmost for the re-creation of the AIE. "The Liberal Party has always been for an alliance, and not a simple one, but for European Integration," Ghimpu said.<\/p>\n

Also, the Liberals’ leader specified that he wants a government for 4 years, "based on balance." Ghimpu also said that he met PD leader Marian Lupu namely because the PL wants that the Democrats speak out for the AIE.<\/p>\n
