\nThe leader of the Party of Communists (PCRM), Vladimir Voronin, told a today’s news briefing that the results of the PCRM’s parallel vote count differ from the data by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).<\/p>\n

Voronin said that the PCRM’s parallel vote count stopped at 30 per cent because the data made public by the CEC do not meet those held by his party. The PCRM leader stressed that 10 per cent of the party’s votes "were stolen". Yet, he did not specify who and in what way did this.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Voronin described the preliminary electoral results as a victory of the PCRM. He said that "the Party of Communists, despite pressure during the electoral period and vote rigging, remaines the strongest political force in Moldova".<\/p>\n

At the same time, Voronin said that the PCRM is open for dialogue and negotiations with all the parties, except for the Liberal Party (PL). Also, he did not rule out a coalition with the Democratic Party (PD). "The simplest coalition would be a two-party one. If we have 61 votes together with another party, then it is very good. We could discuss with the PD too," the Communist leader added.<\/p>\n

As much as 95.4 per cent of the ballots have been counted so far. The PCRM has won 40.5 per cent of the votes, the Liberal Democratic Party 28.4 per cent, the PD 12 per cent and the PL 9.3 per cent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
