And though the traffic police officially explained the accident reason last Monday [Turcan was returning to Chisinau from his pre-election meeting with voters in the northern Moldovan town of Drochia, when an oncoming motor vehicle dazzled Turcan&#8217;s driver, who lost control of the car, went off the road, and the car turned up. With bone fractures and other injuries, Turcan was delivered to Chisinau hospital by an emergency medical helicopter.], the newspaper has not yet apologized for its ridiculous accusations. Instead of asking pardon, Timpul rushed at another present of fate &#8211; the accident with Resetnicov. This time, we shall sue the newspaper in court. When I was president, I followed a simple rule of abstaining from going into litigations with the press. But currently I am free from that commitment, and we shall be bringing legal actions against all liars and idiots like the Bashkan [Governor] of Gagauzia, who organizes provocations during meetings with voters&quot;, stated the Communist Party leader.<\/p>\n<p>In his words, the attack against Resetnicov is an unprecedented case, so the law enforcement simply must find the wrongdoers urgently.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I have brought up Artur like I would do my own son, yet from his university days. It gives me great pain to see him suffering in the hospital bed, so I have even ceased visiting him lately. Those who said that I had influenced his giving evidence to the police are just liars. My whole influence was in giving instructions to inform Interior Minister Victor Catan and the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office. However, investigators showed up in the hospital only 2 hours later. Why do the police behave so? It is strange also that the ISS would not start its own investigation, though the case concerns their former colleague. We asked hospital doctors to take samples of Artur&#8217;s blood for independent laboratory analyses, but the samples have mysteriously vanished. There is so much dirt around this case&quot;, said Voronin.<\/p>\n<p>He accused Romania and its president Traian Basescu of systematic interference into the independent and sovereign Republic of Moldova&#8217;s domestic affairs.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Romania&#8217;s interference is really very great &#8211; from brainwashing Moldovan students receiving education in Romania to stirring up the problems of our national identity, history, language etc. Our incumbent authorities have advanced impressively in our Romanianization and in our losing our Moldovan identity&quot;, presumes the former Moldovan President, an ethnic Moldovan by origin.<\/p>\n<p>According to the data available with him, the ruling Alliance for European Integration is preparing to rig the November 28 elections with Bucharest&#8217;s help.
