\nUkraine’s charge d’affaires to Moldova Mykhaylo Kharyshyn was summoned to the Moldovan Foreign and European Integration Ministry on 16 November, the ministry’s media and public relations department has said.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian diplomat was asked to explain the Ukrainian authorities’ unilateral actions in the evening of 15 November, when the border marks No 0608 and No 0609 where removed from the Ukrainian side of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border near the village Palanca.<\/p>\n

The Foreign and European Integration Ministry expressed deep concern about this step taken without preventive coordination with the Moldovan authorities. An approach of this kind cannot contribute to the continuation of pragmatic and constructive dialogue on the demarcation of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border, which the sides established in 2010.<\/p>\n

Pointing out the fact that it is inadmissible to resort to unilateral actions when it comes to border issues, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry reiterates willingness to solve all problems related to the demarcation of the common border via negotiations within the existing legal framework. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
