 In the Republic of Moldova pumping illusions goes on. After the declaration of the CPRM on their slogan in the election campaign: „Moldova chooses victory”, I believe that this „victory” of Moldova, according to communists’ view, gets more and more resemblance with a phenomenon which occurred in 1634-1637 in Holland, known under the name of „Tulip mania”.<\/p>\n

The story started when a cargo of tulip bulbs arrived in the Western Europe, from Constantinople in 1562, all of a sudden the appreciation of the flower was enormous, and to possession and cultivation of the plant was soon attached enormous prestige. "The rush to invest engulfed the whole of Holland. No person of minimal sensitivity of mind felt that he could be left behind," writes Galbraith in his publication “A Short History of Financial Euphoria”. He also wrote that: "By 1636, a bulb of no previously apparent worth might be exchanged for ‘a new carriage, two grey horses and a complete harness", and that "Every one imagined that the passion for tulips would last forever, and that the wealthy from every part of the world would send to Holland, and pay whatever prices were asked for them…<\/p>\n

People of all grades converted their property into cash, and invested it in flowers". A tulip bulb at that time used to cost an incredible amount estimated in current prices of about $25,000 to $50,000.<\/p>\n

With regard to this kind of situations the renowned philosopher Friedrich Von Schiller wrote: „ Anyone taken as an individual is tolerably sensible and reasonable – as a member of a crowd, he at once becomes a blockhead”.<\/p>\n

In several years, when the traders and\/or bulbs started to sell and ceased to buy others, instantaneously panic was triggered, their price fell as a bang and the most of the people involved in the speculations with tulips incurred drastic losses.<\/p>\n

Of the unhappy experience the Western Europe learned lessons from already several centuries ago, the Moldovan population cannot get rid up to nowadays, while continuing to believe in the worthless illusions built up by the nowadays’ communists.<\/p>\n

Between the tulip mania of that time and the „victory” the communists urge us to, in the way they allegedly see it, there is big resemblance – it is nothing more than an illusion designed to engender benefits to a small group of people – the authors of this farce, and their supporters. The big majority of the population has no chance to win. The rest of the population in the longer run will get just „bulbs”, or false worthless illusory promises. A more simple explanation is that the illusions, at political level, have never been promoted for noble purposes.<\/p>\n

Thus, what is the manifestation of the baleful illusion in our case? First of all it is insisted on the idea that if the people believe in the communist cause, they will live better, thus defying deliberately the fact that nobody in this world could ever create a viable and functional system based on communist ideology. The former Soviet Union was a credible example in this regard.<\/p>\n

The communism, beyond the fact that has no logically grounded ideology, was imposed to the post-soviet area in an adventurous manner by a slate of impostors for whom the final aim was to be “managers” instead of engendering well-being for the people. They used to be “thirsty” of experiments on the account of the people, without having a model or other scientific basis for what they wanted to build.<\/p>\n

There was a period of existence, based exclusively on emotions and euphoria, which as one can see in the story of Tulip mania – while missing some knowledge upon a certain field – can imply drastic disillusions.<\/p>\n

For the R.M. this might only lead to some kind of „jumps” from one extreme to another, and\/or from one crisis to another, or chronic dependence on foreign sources and interminable „ anxiety” that it will not be possible reach a decent living, based on self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n

A logical thought which we should think about more and more is – to what extent can we tolerate and admit that the communism “victorious” illusions guide still so many citizens to the state of blockheadedness. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
