Yesterday’s declaration of the Democratic Party Leader Marian Lupu, that the „Republic of Moldova cannot and will not ignore Russian Federation, [and] that Chisinau is obliged to have good relations with Russia – one of the main economic partners of our country” is like a thunderstorm.<\/p>\n

The big surprise is not in the fact that:<\/p>\n

(i) Marian Lupu makes “smutty” declarations,<\/p>\n

(ii) that makes these declarations with loftiness of “great economist” and that<\/p>\n

(iii) it sounds somewhat like – „top” treachery. I think so because I am certain than none of the renowned politicians in this country raise the issue of „ignoring Russian Federation”, and\/or not to have „good relations with Russia”.<\/p>\n

The problem is that this normal trend emerged among the political class, which obviously was not the case before, to diversify the economic partnership of our country at international level, is fully complying with an old economic principle, and logical one – „not to put all the eggs in one basket”.<\/p>\n

This principle is even more optimal for the R.M., because the „basket” in our case, displays ungrounded whims, which makes one understand that the “bottom” is far too unstable for our “eggs”. It would be a sin to let the Moldovan economy too dependent on the „bottom” of only one „basket” and not to take into account the opinions of some famous personalities, such as those from Brussels or from Shanhai, who met Mr. Prime-minister of Moldova recently. Would it mean that what was undertaken for diversifying the markets for the Moldovan economy has not been done to provide for the economic stability?; or Marian Lupu likes this term, as I know.<\/p>\n

What might suggest Mr. Lupu in this case, when the Russian Federation imposed serious impediments for the exports of Moldovan wines on their market – to not look for other markets in other countries? Shouldn’t it be done anything in this regard, the same Lupu & co. would start a campaign on an „alleged” incapacity of the Filat headed Government to manage the economy, etc. and eventually claim to be the “big savior”, on the background of this situation.<\/p>\n

The message is obviously other than what he says. In the R.M. there has grown a generation of people who see and understand … and it is this particularly fact that is disliked by the some egoists, who cannot come to terms with the idea that they cannot be the „the best”.<\/p>\n

The call on obligation to have good relations with Russia is even more „creative”, compared with other “samples” of nihilism produced in the power corridors in Chisinau and, actually a manifestation of „neo- pinochetism”, who is venerated by the opponents of human freedom in general, and who think that we – in the R.M. – have no mere right to think of.<\/p>\n

Is a huge mistake that in the R.M. there are still people who vote for „charisma” of some candidates for state offices, and less for the essence of their words, ideas and deeds. Thus, it is disregarded an incontestable value for development – meritocracy – which seems to be defied in the R.M. deliberately.
