Up to this moment, 25 parties confirmed their involvement in the campaign for the Constitutional referendum, that will take place on September, 5. The ones that refused to participate in the campaign are Moldovan Agrarian Party, Law and Justice Party, Professionals’ Movement “Speran\u0163a-\u041d\u0430\u0434\u0435\u0436\u0434\u0430”, New National Moldovan Party, and European Party.<\/p>\n

Not all the political parties participating in the pre-referendum campaign have a political option regarding the way president of the country should be elected. Thus, 5 parties haven’t expressed their option, and 3 other parties declared that they will urge electors to boycott the referendum. Only 17 parties are known to promote a certain option – either the president to be elected by the Parliament or by the general elections.<\/p>\n
