State Minister Victor Bodiu and Roger Vaughan, director of the Quick Assistance Programme for Good Government, implemented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), signed a memorandum of understanding today, the government’s communications and press relations department has said.<\/p>\n

The document sees joint implementation of a component of a wider set of assistance services for development given to Moldova’s government. The document’s goal is to optimize organizational, administrative and operational aspects regarding the government’s communication system.<\/p>\n

Roger Vaughan has said that the project will provide assistance to the State Chancellery to assess problems and options meant to remedy the technical infrastructure of the intra-governmental communications – hardware and software. Also, the project will give support to train mass media and public relations specialists at the ministries and central administrative authorities on techniques of public communication, as well as mass media’s daily monitoring.<\/p>\n

Victor Bodiu thanked the U.S. Government will constant assistance given to Moldova.<\/p>\n
