The opening of a representation of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) in Chisinau will facilitate the dialogue between the business communities from the two countries, thus making it possible to boost mutual investment flows.<\/p>\n

Acting President and Parliament Speaker Mihai Ghimpu today made the statement at a meeting with a delegation of the Romanian Chamber System, on a working visit to Chisinau, the presidential press service has said.<\/p>\n

Mihai Ghimpu specified that the opening of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Chisinau will allow both turning to account at the maximum the opportunities of bilateral economic cooperation, and to create a bridge of access for more Western investors who came or are set to come to Moldova.<\/p>\n

The head of state said that Moldova has a relatively high export potential. Ghimpu stressed that, in conditions of the existing preferences, this potential should be used by attracting direct foreign investments, which are sufficient to increase the range of exported goods, enhance the production capacity and ensure the observance of the EU standards.<\/p>\n

"The signing of a free trade agreement with the European Union will be a step not only of political importance, but also of practical importance, given that it will have a decisive role for Moldova’s economic consolidation, and will bring about extraordinary motivation for foreign investors to come to invest in Moldova," Mihai Ghimpu stressed.<\/p>\n

The head of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mihail M. Vlasov, described as extraordinary Mihai Ghimpu’s initiative to open a representation in Chisinau. He emphasized that this will allow the business environment to carry out many efficient projects for Moldovan and Romanian citizens.<\/p>\n

The head of the Moldovan Chamber of Trade and Industry, Gheorghe Cucu, said that the consolidation of relations with Romanian colleagues will contribute both to the extension of the economic ties between the two states and to Moldova’s European integration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
