He strongly counts that Moldova&#8217;s national interests will be duly taken into consideration, which should only promote the consolidation of peace and security in this part of Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Filat stated to the press, &quot;The Moldovan Government has taken notice of the Joint Statement made by the President of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, in which they have expressed their political will to promote, within the 5+2 format, an accelerated achievement of a viable solution of the Transnistria problem and provide backing to the Transnistrian population. The Government expresses readiness to embark, without a precondition or delay, on constructive talks in the 5+2 format, and addresses all sides concerned to act likewise&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>He welcomed the involvement of international partners into the Transnistrian settlement process, which should let reach a viable solution to the conflict on the principles of observing the Republic of Moldova&#8217;s sovereignty and territorial integrity. <\/p>\n<p>Meantime, Tiraspol is insisting on building up the Russian military contingent strength in the Transnistria Security Zone because political dialog with Moldova &quot;remains unpredictable and is fraught with possible conflicts&quot;, Oleg Belyakov, the Transnistrian co-chairman in the Joint Control Commission (JCC) for the Transnistrian Conflict Settlement, stated at the seminar on peacekeeping operations, organized here by the OSCE Mission to Moldova.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar was attended by the representatives of the peacekeeper mission on the Dniester and international experts from Finland, Ireland and Sweden in order to establish cooperation and exchange experience in the field of training peacekeepers.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Ambassador Philip Remler said there is a whole program of conferences and seminars for the sides to sit together and exchange opinions, and to acquire more knowledge on peacekeeping operations with the help of international experts.<\/p>\n<p>Philip Remler said that each conflict has its own peculiarities, which factor puts forward different requirements to be met with peacekeeping operations.
