President of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic Igor Smirnov has allowed implementing "western projects", in particular, a project of the Fund of Social Investments of Moldova (FSIM) in Transnistria.<\/p>\n

At a sitting with the participation of the representatives of the Government, town and raion authorities, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry he said that it is necessary to implement international projects on the territory of Transnistria, as the main argument here is to help the population, whose life is hard under the present conditions.<\/p>\n

"We receive certain amount of medical equipment and medicines from the international humanitarian funds. This is necessary for people. That is why, we must work and pay attention to our problems and to the state security," Smirnov underlined.<\/p>\n

He charged the Ministry of Justice with working out the Bill on the Procedure of Handling Incoming Investment and Humanitarian Aid with taking into consideration the constitutional provisions, which determine the structure of public authorities and their responsibilities.<\/p>\n

Earlier the Fund declared its technical support for projects, implemented in a number of Transnistrian localities, including the construction of the water supply system in the Shipka village, the repair of the school in the Cioburciu village and others.<\/p>\n
