Russia’s decision to offer Moldova a 150-million-dollar loan is no longer valid, given that this money was seen for 2009. The possibility of offering another loan within other agreements is going to be discussed at meetings with Russian officials.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Vlad Filat made statements to this effect at an ordinary cabinet meeting today.<\/p>\n

The statement came after the co-chairman of the Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation, Russian Education and Science Minister Andrey Fursenko, has recently said that Russia was still willing to give Moldova the promised 150 million dollars.<\/p>\n

Referring to a possible Chinese loan, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said that the issue was being discussed with the Chinese side. We are waiting for an answer from China and I hope that we will sign a loan agreement during a forthcoming visit to this country if we reach some understanding on economic and financial parameters, Filat said.<\/p>\n
