The presence to polls was of 58.02 per cent.<br \/>\nAt 9 a.m., after counting the votes in 95.40 per cent of the voting sections, Traian B\u0103sescu had obtained 50.43  per cent  while Mircea Geoan\u0103 had obtained 49.57 per cent of the votes.<\/p>\n<p>According to the data provided by BEC at the second election round, which took place on Sunday the total number of the electors registered on the copies of the permanent voting lists is 17,654,298,  while the number of those present at the polls is 10,229.433, that is 57.94 per cent.
