The military attaches of Russia, Ukraine, Romania and the USA to Moldova have inspected the implementation of reforms in the Moldovan National Army, which are part of the Moldovan army’s international cooperation plan for 2009.<\/p>\n

The diplomats met the army commanders and officers who are completing the course for military observers under the aegis of the UN and the OSCE, the head of the international military cooperation directorate at the Moldovan Defence Ministry, Col Vitalie State, has said.<\/p>\n

"Briefings and presentations based on reforms in the army and its participation in international peacekeeping operations took place during the meeting. Representatives of the military attache corps familiarized themselves with what the centre does to prepare for peacekeeping operations. They visited the military training base in the village of Bulboaca where they got information on conditions for training servicemen within the course for tra! ining military observers for service in peacekeeping operations under the UN-OSCE aegis," State said.<\/p>\n

The programme of the practical course includes involvement of servicemen in patrolling, using the computerized system of information transfer and setting up observation posts in accordance with the model and principles of the missions held under the UN aegis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
