Any person why knows about the preparation of election offences, and does not inform about this fact at the bodies in charge or the Central Election Commission, becomes accomplice of these actions. The secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Iurie Ciocan, made this statement on Friday, thus reacting to statements by the head of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Vitalia Pavlicenco, on a possible rigging of the elections. <\/p>\n

‘The CEC urges all Moldova’s citizens, including the political leaders who have information about the preparation of certain offences able to influence the outcome of the 29 July ballot, to inform the competent bodies and the CEC,’ Ciocan specified. <\/p>\n

On 16 July, PNL head Vitalia Pavlicenco told a news conference that she would have information on the preparation to falsify the snap elections by the printing of a set of ballot papers in a foreign country [Israel].
