The Liberal Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Moldova Noastra Alliance have reaffirmed their initial decision to form no coalition with the Communists after elections. They made such statements speaking live on the ProTV-Chisinau channel last night.           <\/p>\n

MNA Chairman Serafim Urechean reminded the viewers that several democratic parties had rendered help to the Communists after the 2005 elections, “so, where are these gentlemen now, the ones used by Voronin – Rosca, Diacov, Serebrean?”    <\/p>\n

Urechean expressed confidence a coalition in the new Parliament will be formed exactly by the MNA, LDPM and LP, though not immediately but within several months. He thus hinted the Communists would be unable to remain in power for long after the elections.    <\/p>\n

LP Deputy Chairman and Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca offered a supposition the Communists will, most probably, try to blackmail, intimidate and buy some deputies, so “every party leader should publicly assume responsibility for the behaviour of his parliamentarians”.  <\/p>\n

Chirtoaca stated the Communists would not scare Liberal deputies because “we have got used to working under a continuous Communist pressure last couple of years”.  <\/p>\n

LDPM leader MP Vlad Filat stated one should not suspect party deputies of a possible treachery only because President Voronin has stated some parliamentarians might agree to back the Communists.   <\/p>\n

“I am absolutely sure of all LDPM candidates, and I have already taken responsibility for each of them at including them into the LDPM ticket for parliament”, Filat said.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
