We share the EU&rsquo;s position on this issue and this stance is welcomed by all the partners participating in the talks in the 5+2 format,&rdquo; the Romanian official said.<\/p>\n<p>This assertion runs counter to an earlier statement made by Diaconescu. He said that Romania should be directly involved in the negotiation process, not only through the agency of the EU. Romania&rsquo;s President Traian Basescu expressed the same position.
