More than 30 issues have been included in the agenda of the Summit of CIS Heads of Government that will be held in Chisinau between November 13 and 14. The announcement was made at a meeting of President Vladimir Voronin and the CIS Secretary General Serghei Lebedev on November 12. <\/p>\n

According to the presidential press service, Serghei Lebedev and Vladimir Voronin discussed the agenda of the Summit of CIS Heads of Government, stressing the importance of approving the Economic Development Strategy of the CIS until 2020.

\nThey also underlined the significance of the documents that set out the priorities of the cooperation in the transport sector until 2020 and of the set of measures designed to improve the food security of the CIS member countries. <\/p>\n

On January 1, 2009, Moldova will take over the presidency of the Commonwealth of Independent States from Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, it is to formulate its priorities for next year, taking into account the decisions made at the last CIS Summit in Bishkek.
