The Transdniestrian administration is ready to resume the dialogue with the Moldovan authorities and hold a high-level meeting (Voronin+Smirnov) during the first ten days of October, the self-styled foreign minister of the Transdniestrian region says in a commentary released last week. <\/p>\n

The Tiraspol administration also expresses its position on the recent statements regarding the Transdniestrian regime made by Vladimir Voronin. <\/p>\n

The official Tiraspol says that Vladimir Voronin’s statements contain “misinterpretations of the tasks and goals of the negotiation process.” It stresses that the solutions to the conflict must be identified by the sides in equal conditions, without using force and pressure and without involvement in the internal affairs of the sides, basing on the realities and existent international guarantees.

\nTiraspol also considers that the most viable format of the talks is the one that includes the Presidents of Moldova, Ukraine and Russia, the Transdniestrian leader and the OSCE Chairman-in-Office. <\/p>\n
