The Parliament will open the autumn session, which is the last one for the current legislators, on September 25. Such a decision was made by the Parliament’s Standing Bureau on September 19. <\/p>\n

According to the Parliament’s pres service, the Standing Bureau also approved the draft agenda for the first two weeks of the session. <\/p>\n

Traditionally, Speaker Marian Lupu and the leaders of the parliamentary groups will deliver speeches at the first sitting. The Standing Bureau also decided that the Government on September 25 will report in the Parliament on the liquidation of the consequences of this summer’s floods and on the tripartite Government – Employers – Trade Unions meeting over the rise in salaries in the budgetary sector. The National Bank administration is to inform the MPs about the situation on the currency market of Moldova. <\/p>\n

The draft agenda also includes over 20 political, economic, legal and social documents. Among these are amendments to the law on the regulation of repatriation of money, goods and services coming from foreign economic transactions, the law on state-owned enterprises, the law on salary grades, the law on the normative price and the method of selling-purchasing land; to the Penal Code and the Enforcement Code of Moldova. <\/p>\n

The MPs will also ratify a number of international agreements, including agreements on financial cooperation with Germany and for the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments with Slovakia, the Council of Europe Framework Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society, and will approve the joint statement on the constitution of the Regional Cooperation Council.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
