The European Action Movement (MAE) is disappointed at the unwillingness of the Liberal Party (PL) and the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) to negotiate a political partnership. <\/p>\n

MAE president Anataol Petrencu told a news conference on August 7 that the PLDM leader Vlad Filat duped them, saying that the party will enter into a partnership agreement, but offered simultaneously AMN and PL to establish a partnership as these are larger and could enter the Parliament. <\/p>\n

Petrencu said that MAE will continue to plead for the creation of an “anticommunist pole”. He announced that they are now conducting talks with the AMN leader Serafim Urecheanu. <\/p>\n

As regards the talks with PL, Petrencu said that it is rather difficult to negotiate with its leader Mihai Ghimpu, who wants his party to take part in elections by itself as he is sure it will garner the necessary number of votes. \"\"<\/p>\n

For his part, the Liberal-Democratic leader Vlad Filat has told REPORTER.MD that he does not classify the parties according to such criteria as small, large, old or new and respects the parties that have principles and values similar to his party’s. Filat said that he is in favor of coalitions by the democratic forces. <\/p>\n

Filat said that PLDM initiated the creation of a council for dialogue with AMN and PL. The initiative stipulates that any other party with similar principles can form part of the committee. The fact that MAE and PL hurried to make assessments shows that they have other interests that the declared ones,” Filat said. <\/p>\n
