The European commissioner, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, declared in time of a press conference devoted to the conclusion regarding the Neighbouring Policy Program presented on Thursday in Brussels, that Moldova proved that it is interested in European perspective, DECA-press informs. <\/p>\n

According to Benita Ferrero-Waldner’s words, the European Commission started reflecting about the new document regarding the relation with the Republic of Moldova. <\/p>\n

„This document will be a new stage in the relation of Moldova with EU. Moldova has recorded much progress so far, but it still has to work as far as the freedom of speech, combating corruption and consolidation of democracy are concerned”, she specified. <\/p>\n

Benita Ferrero-Waldner announced that, in fact, the European Commission will increase the amount of financial assistance for Moldova. She didn’t specify what the value of the additional allocations would be. <\/p>\n
