Editorialists from informing media from Chisinau consider the resignation of the prime-minister Vasile Tarlev, announced on Wednesday can be considered as a sacrifice which the Communist Party from the Republic of Moldova (PCRM) brought on the altar of the future parliamentary elections from 2009, DECA-press Agency transmits. <\/p>\n

The editorialist from „Jurnal de Chisinau”, Nicolae Negru, believes that Vasile Tarlev’s resignation is a script thought of by the organizers of the sixth congress of PCRM, held recently, which aim at providing much importance to this event and to the new program adopted by the governing party. „It is obvious that this hame, which is not played for the good of the country, has connection with the elections from 2009. PCRM is alarmed of the possible results of the parliamentary elections. Vasile Tarlev’s explanation regarding his resignation is not serious, becayse the resignation of a government in a civilized state is not done suddenly before the elections”, Nicolae Negru also said. <\/p>\n

The editor-in-chief of the publication „FLUX”, Sergiu Praporscic, considers that PCRM needed a change before the elections, and the faction had to bring something new in the Executive body, because Tarlev worked in this function for seven years. By Tarlev’s resignation, communists want to prove electors that things do not stand, they progress. In another context, Praporscic declared that the new prime-minister may become Igor Dodon. In this case, communists will form a Government with more modern vews and this fact could put the governing party on a favourable position. <\/p>\n

The editorialist of the former governmental daily publication „Moldova Suverana”, Oleg Cristal, believes that Tarlev’s resignation violated the logics of the policy, according to whihch the governments do not change before elections. Yet, the editorialist says that the prime-minister’s resignation has at least two reasons. The first one could be „the new reformed political program adopted at the recent congress of the governing party”, and the second one keeps to the future survey of progress in the implementation of EU-RM Action Plan , which will be published by EU on April 3rd”. „Since there are some critical notes about the application of the Plan, the resignation of the prime-minister Tarlev is a kind of recognition of debts, and first, a positive signal at the address of EU regarding the removal of a team which couldn’t fulfil its responsibilities”, Cristal says. This is a signal of Chisinau that a more dynamic team comes, which will manage to negotiate better a new qualitative juridical agreement between Republic of Moldova and European community, Oleg Cristal believes. <\/p>\n

On the other hand, the political commentator Vitali Andrievski considers that Tarlev’s resignation is due to the wish of the tandem Voronin-Tkaciuk, and the action is a pre-electoral castling. Despite that, Tarlev’s resignation will not raise the score of the communists before the elections. <\/p>\n
