The main achievement of the sixth Moldovan Communist Party (PCRM) Congress is the adoption of the new program of the formation, Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin stated within a news conference on Tuesday, March, 18, 2008. <\/p>\n

According to Vladimir Voronin, the communists have a serious attitude towards their pragmatic documents. “And if in other parties it would be possible to easily change the program, for the PCRM things were different. The party obtained a document with a content rich of ideas. As the president of the party, I can’t help expressing my satisfaction with this event.” Voronin said. <\/p>\n

The president mentioned five strategic tasks which represent an important political achievement and which are going to be implemented within a long period. Thus, they include: to build a social state with a high level of social standards, to affirm an open innovation-oriented economy, based on knowledge and a ponderous human potential, to create an efficient democracy, within which authorities of any level will be under the permanent control of the society, the increase of Moldova’s competitiveness as a state, as well as to establish lasting fundamental security principles, the territorial integrity and to be opened for integration. <\/p>\n

“Namely these tasks will contribute to a serious modernization of the party. Another important change was the way the elderly generation gave in the leadership in favour of our youth, within the party, this could serve as an example for many political organizations. They have done this with wisdom, calmly, with dignity and hope for positive changes and with a sincere desire that the new team reaches success.” Voronin stated. <\/p>\n

The sixth PCRM Congress took place in Chisinau, on March, 15, 2008. Within the congress, Vladimir Voronin was re-elected as the PCRM’s president. The works of the Congress were followed on-line by over ten thousand users from 34 countries and 55 cities. <\/p>\n

The PCRM includes over 22 thousand party members, among which 85 per cent are employed. About 40 per cent of the total number of party members are up to 40 years old, and 27 per cent are people aged between 40-60.  \/\/ DECA-Press<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
