The representative of the Republic of Moldova at the United Nations Organization, Alexei Tulbure, who was dismissed, denies the accusations brought forward by the authorities from Chisinau as far as the admissions of some disorders in the administration of the mission are concerned, DECA-press Agency transmits. <\/p>\n

In an interview offered to BBC radio, Alexei Tulbure declared that „the accusations are absurd”. <\/p>\n

We remind you that the deputy-minister of foreign affairs, Valeriu Ostalep, explained on Thursday, in the Parliament, on the basis of a report of the Court of Accounts, that Tulbure is accused of violations of the discipline of work, the non-execution of instructions of the ministry, violation of items of the Labour Code and actions which damaged the image of the Republic of Moldova. The Court of Accounts determined that, in the period of 2004 and September 2007, the Moldovan UNO representative, made spent nearly 40 thousand lei for the purchase of some objects which were not provided by the legislation. The mission made some protocol expenditures without a plan approved by the related ministry. The representative spent one thousand dollars for the purchase of subscriptions of mobile communication, without recovering the money from the employees. <\/p>\n

In the cited interview, Tulbure asserts that it is necessary to start an investigation in this case, in order to analyze all the accusations because, in his opinion, the accusations are not true. Tulbure said that the problems have started since he was hired at UNO. „I was the one to harmonize all th requirements as far as the financial administration of the mission is concerned with the rules”, Tulbure declared. <\/p>\n

Alexei Tulbure also declared that he would come back to Chisinau as soon as the order of dismissal is emitted. Asked if he would contest his dismissal at the law court, Tulbure declared that he would not comment. He added that „we will see, because things are not clear yet”. <\/p>\n
