Moldova’s President Vladimir Voronin requested the finishing and adopting procedure of the law draft regarding the juridical statute of the adoption to be urged, as well as of the set of legislative documents necessary for its efficient implementation. <\/p>\n

At a sitting held by the president on the problem of improving the national legislation that regulates the procedure of adoptions, they discussed the law draft regarding the juridical statute of the adoption, elaborated to make easier the current juridical framework in the field, according to the press service of the Presidency. <\/p>\n

They stressed the importance of précising some phrases regarding the authorities’ competencies empowered in adoptions, of settling a stricter monitoring of the child and family in the post-adoption period. <\/p>\n

“The national or international adoption is and must continue a justified option. The children have the right to get acquainted with and be bred by their own parents, as long as it is possible”, EC Deputy Secretary General has formerly said, at a conference, in Strasbourg. <\/p>\n

Two the most relevant treaties regarding the adoption for the European states are the Convention from Haga 1993 and the Convention of the Council of Europe regarding the adoption 1967, which treats the problem of the national adoption. The EC Convention was recently revised in order to make its stipulations follow the evolutions realized in the social and juridical fields.
