Moldova will receiver the mandate of the Chairman of the Southeast Europe Cooperation Process on May 21, 2008 at the XI Summit of the Heads of the States and Governments of the member countries, which summit will be held in the Bulgarian town of Pomorie. <\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, a sitting of the SEECP foreign ministers, organized under chairmanship of Bulgaria, will take place in Sofia on Thursday. Deputy Foreign Minister Valeriu Ostalep will be the Moldovan representative at this sitting. <\/p>\n

This action will be preceded by a sitting, devoted to the completion of the process of setting up the Regional Cooperation Council, as a hew institution for regional cooperation in Europe on the basis of the Stability Pact for SouthEast Europe. Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Stratan is participating in this sitting. <\/p>\n

“The sitting will discuss measures to be taken to provide the further efficient functioning of the Regional Cooperation Council, the realization of the Bulgaria’ presidency in the SEECP, as well as the development of Southeast European countries in their European and Euro-Atlantic integration process”, the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration says. <\/p>\n
