Several parties and political leaders from the Republic of Moldova reacted through declarations and revolts regarding the decision of unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo, DECA-press transmits.
\nIn this context, the Republican People’s Party (PPR) considers that the decision of declaration of the independence of Kosovo will have a great impact on the resolution of the Transnistrian problem.
\nNicolae Andronic, leader of PPR, said that, first, the declaration of independence of Kosovo will influence the promoters of the idea of separation of Transnistria; second – on the population from the left bank of the Nistru River.
\nIn his opinion, after Kosovo became independent, there are almost no chances anymore that the Transnistrian problem will be solved according to the current Constitution of the Republic of Moldova.
\nNicolae Andronic believes that „the non-resolution of the Transnistrian problem till the declaration of independence of Kosovo is a proof of the incapacity and lack of will of the communist governing system to solve it”.
\nThe Christian-Democratic People’s Party (PPCD), Iurie Rosca, declared referring to this subject, that Moldova must avoid any analogy with the situation from the former Yugoslav area. He said that Moldova must do its best to maintain the solidarity and the national unity in term of the resolution of the Transnistrian conflict.
\nAccording to Iurie Rosca, Republic of Moldova must reaffirm its clear position as far as its own national interests are concerned, as well as the reports with the great international actors involved in the process of identification of the most optimal ways of solving the Transnistrian conflict.
\n„The situation from Kosovo and the one from the Transnistrian region are absolutely different and there shouldn’t be drawn any parallels between the two problems”, „Moldova Noastra” Alliance (AMN) considers.
\nVictor Osipov, the spokesman of AMN, asserts that there is no ethnic, religious or territorially historic conflict in Transdniester.
