The writer Nicolae Dabija, editor-in-chief of the newspaper „Literatura si Arta\u0403h, leader of the Democratic Forum of Romanians from Moldova (FDRM), accuses president Vladimir Voronin of xenophobia.
\nHe declared on Sunday, in time of an ordinary meeting in the open air, organized by the Union of Journalists from Moldova, that not Constantin Tanase, director of the newspaper „Timpul\u0403h, is xenophobe, it is president Vladimir Voronin, who often attacks the Romanian ethic group. Thus, the writer reacted to the investigation started by the General Prosecution on Constantin Tanase’s case because, before that, at a similar meeting, he had declared that „Moldova must get rid not only of Voronin and communists, but also of Russians\u0403h.
\nAs DECA-press informs, present at the meeting on Sunday, Constantin Tanase reconfirmed the affirmation, but he also added collaborationists to this list. He said that he means the civil servants who follow the communists’ policy.
\nLawyer Vitalie Nagacevschi, president of the public association „Juristii pentru Drepturile Omului\u0403h (Jurists for Human Rights), declared that the General Prosecution didn’t have any juridical ground to start a penal investigation to the director of the newspaper „Timpul\u0403h.
\nIn his opinion, even if Constantin Tanase referred to Russian speakers from Moldova, a penal investigation should have started, because he didn’t call for any actions against them.
