The items of the budget of the Transnistrian region for the year 2008 caused a new tensioning of the relations of the leader of the separatist republic of Transnistria, Igor Smirnov, with the Supreme Soviet from Tiraspol – the legislative body of the separatist region, DECA-press Agency transmits.
\nIgor Smirnov objected against the budget articles which prohibit the extension of the staff of some ministries and departments ad of the norm which doesn’t permit that the money received from the paid services be used for the activity of the ministries and departments. At the same time, the Tirapsol leader didn’t agree with the facilitation of customs procedures and the shortening of the term of issuing the customs documents.
\nThe deputies of the Supreme Soviet declared that they intend to resist the veto which Igor Smirnov applied on these items of the budget law. The committee for economic policy, budget and finances of the Soviet has already made a recommendation in this context for the scheduled plenary sitting.
