The demand of dissolving the Municipal Council of Balti issued by the PSD councillor, Sergiu Banari, has no judicial ground, because there is no legal reason to declare the lack of competence of councillors in the decision-making process. The declaration was made on Friday, by the secretary of the Municipal Council of Balti, Irina Serdiuc, at the sitting of the Press Club from the locality, DECA-press transmits.
\nThe secretary of the Municipal Council of Balti referred to the Law of Local Public Administration, according to which there are three reasons on the basis of which the local forum could be dissolved. None of these legislative acts are valid in the case of the Municipal Council of Balti.
\nWe remind you that on January 31st, a social-democratic councillor of Balti asked for the dissolvation of this forum on the reason that a crisis situation has been created in the region because of the protests of small entrepreneurs. This is evident because of the fact that last summer, the communist faction declared they assume the responsibility for everything will happen in the locality, Banari affirms.
\nIn another context, at the Press Club sitting, the opposition councillors accused the communist faction they refuse to initiate a constructive cooperation.
\n„The representatives of the opposition regret the fact that the mayor of the locality, Vasili Panciuk, doesn’t consult all the political factios when they decide to include on the working agenda of the council a certain problem, and some proposals of the opposition are rejected from the very beginning so that till the end, they be considered proposals of the mayor or of the councillors of PCRM”, Aurel Filip, leader of the opposition faction „Meleag”, specifies.
\nIn their turn, the representatives of the PCRM faction denied the accusations, explaining that a constructive cooperation with the opposition is possible only in case some councillors give up their ambitions.
\nThe Municipal Council of Balti is formed of 35 councillors, 21 of whom are communists.
