On Thursday, in time of a briefing, the president of the Parliament, Marian Lupu, assured the journalists that the Legislative will not return to the old method of nomination of members of the Central Electoral Committee (CEC), DECA-press Agency communicates.
\nHe confirmed that this idea had been discussed by the Parliament, in the framework of a dialogue among the parliamentary groups. He declared that a law project in this context hasn’t been elaborated yet.
\nThe president of the Parliament said that he himself is against the appearance of such a law project, because the electoral legislation and the game rules must not change before the elections.
\nBefore that, the communist deputy Vladimir Turcan, chairman of the juridical commission for nomination and immunities of the Parliament, said that the majority faction would examine the possibility of returning to the old method of nomination of the members of CEC – per three representatives of the Parliament, Government and juridical body.
