The councillor Ala Voinorovskaya, member of the communist faction from Municipal Council of Balti (MCB), believes that the popularity of Balti mayor is equivalent to the one of the head of the administration from Kremlin, DECA-press Agency transmits.
\nA statement in this context was made on Thursday, by Voinorovskaya in time of the exchange of irritated words from the opposition faction „Meleag”. The scandal was caused by a statement of the social-democratic councillor Serghei Banari, who asked for the dissolvation of MCB. Before that, the mayor Vasili Panciuk, supported in the elecitons by the Communist Party, had been asked to resign.
\nAccording to Ala Voinorovskaya, the attacks at the address of the mayor of Balti are attempts of removing the state power. „People respect the authorities of the town, and Vasili Tarasovici (Panciuk-n.r.) has authority like Putin has”, Voinarovskaya also said. „You will never reach this level, so that you gain people’s respect. I am proud of the fact we have such a mayor”, the communist councillor declared.
