The social-democratic councillor Serghei Banari asked on Thursday his colleagues from Balti Municipal Council (BMC) to announce the dissolvation of the forum and fix a date for the organization of anticipated elections, DECA-press Agency transmits.
\nThe councillor motivated his demand by the fact that there is a crisis at this moment in the locality and accused the communist majority from BMC of this situation.
\nThe statement caused debates and mutual attacks to each other’s personality.
\nThe announcement of the demand of dissolvation of BMC was received by the communist majority with sarcasm and irony at the address of the author of the statement. Banari, who pretended to represent nearly 14 thousand persons who protested last week in Balti, accused the local communist governing of the critical situation small entrepreneurs are involved in.
\nThe majority faciton proved that it cannot work in such conditions, since it has become the body guilty of the social, economical and political crisis in Balti, Banari declared.
\nAs a reply, the communists made a statement in which they accused „some political forces of populism and extremism”. At the same time, communists confess that „the reform in the field of markets has some gaps too”. The leader of the communist faction, Andrei Kapsamun, who had read the statement, said that some „leader of extremist and distructive parties” take advantage of the problem brevet owners have.
\nAfter the local elections from June 3rd 2007, the communist councillors from Balti declared they assumed the responsibility for everything it would happen in the town.
\nCommunists control both the Balti Municipal Council, where they have 21 mandates of 35; as well as the Mayoralty.
