The Cabinet of Ministers approved a national Plan of Actions for 2008 by which they are to protect the Moldovan citizens from abroad. The project was approved at the 30 January sitting. <\/p>\n

The document aims at creating the necessary conditions to defend the rights and interests of the citizens in insuring the activity of the competent central public authorities in the migration sector. The approval of this document is included in a number of series initiated by the government, the goal of which is to protect the rights of the Moldovan citizens from abroad, including the visa regime, the legal employment, human traffic combating, extension and consolidation of the diplomatic missions, and juridical assistance. <\/p>\n

The Plan of Actions includes 24 points, and the main stipulations refer to founding the diplomatic missions and consular offices in some states: Ireland, Spain, Turkey, intensifying cooperation with the third countries in different areas, consolidating the bilateral juridical sector, informing the citizens. <\/p>\n

The responsible for implementing the document is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration that is to present reports in the middle of each month on the implementation of the document’s stipulations, according to a governmental decision. <\/p>\n

At the same time, the document includes a separate point that implies to make the Moldovan citizens from Transnistria sensitive and inform them about the protection they can benefit of when leave abroad. <\/p>\n

At the same sitting, the Cabinet of Ministers operated new staff reshuffles. Thus, they dismissed Transport and Roads Household Deputy Minister Vladimir Botnari. Agency of Constructions and Territory Development Deputy Director Mihai Solcan was also dismissed, in line with his new function. <\/p>\n
