On Friday morning, the Prosecution told Nicolae Andronic, leader of the Republican People’s Party (PPR), details regarding the new trial he had been put to, DECA-press communicates.
\nHe is accused that in June 1999, when he was still a prime-vice-prime-minister, he concluded a document which permitted the State Agency for material reserves to take of the state reserve 200 tons of wheat. The agency concluded after that a contract by means of which it offered this quantity of wheat to a private firm on condition that it will restitute it, but this thing never happened.
\nNicolae Andronic says he is not guilty a declares that this is a political case which refers to parliament elections from 2009.
\nThe former prime-vice-prime-minister asserts that he had only permitted to take the wheat from the state reserve because they needed to renew it before the new harvest of wheat. In general, the transaction was based on a contract between the Agency and an economic agent.
